FISMA & DoD Directive 8570

other government agencies to develop professionals with information
assurance expertise in various disciplines, and ultimately contributes
to the protection of the national information infrastructure. New
Horizons provides a complete Information Assurance training solution
that maps directly to FISMA, which heightens staff awareness regarding
security measures, documents security processes, and educates your
personnel in proper use and management of systems
security.
New Horizons offers government and DoD agencies solutions to meet
the compliance requirements of both the Federal Information
Security Management Act (FISMA) and DoD Directive
8570, which call on federal government and DoD agencies
to demonstrate and prove that personnel are IT security competent
via IT certifications and annual metrics reporting of their workforce
on IT security related skills. These skills-based certification
programs are aimed at government personnel who come into contact
with and/or administer secure government IT systems and/or intranet-related
services within the federal government agencies and the U.S Department
of Defense (DoD).

Military Tuition Assistance Benefits Training
Through our partnership with local colleges and universities, New
Horizons provides active-duty military personnel the opportunity
to use their Tuition Assistance benefits for technical certification
training.
Central Texas College-Ft. Hood
The Fort Hood Education Services Division, in association with
New Horizons Computer Learning Center of Austin and Central Texas
College, is offering MCSA training on Fort Hood. This 18 week program
is taught in the evenings with classroom and courseware review lab
times alternating.

St. Mary's University-San Antonio
St. Mary's University IT Training Program offers technical certification
training to active duty military personnel. The program is eligible
for Military Tuition Assistance benefits and includes the following
certification training paths:
- CompTIA Certification: A+, Network+, Security+
- Microsoft Certification: MCSA plus Security, MCSE plus Security,
MCDBA
- Cisco Certification: CCNA, CCNP
- Oracle10G DBA
- IT Project Management
- CISSP (coming soon to Randolph AFB)
- Certified Ethical Hacker
- .Net Programming
In addition to the training paths listed above, St. Mary's can
create programs for almost any IT certification you would like to
achieve. New Horizons provides consultation for the college on available
training and will assist you to ensure you obtain your optimum benefit
under this entitlement.

University of Texas at San Antonio's Office of Extended Education-San
Antonio
The UTSA Office of Extended Education, through a partnership with
New Horizons, offers Microsoft Certification Training Programs and
CISCO Certification Training Programs.
These programs are structured for military, business, computer
and network professionals looking to extend or change their career
field.
